What will be remembered in the annals of Portuguese architectural theory with regard to the architecture invented by Eduardo Souto Moura is its efficacy. His importance as an artistic creator and his capacity for poetic and professional resolution go beyond the mere physical value of his works and become part of the new extension of the idea of modernity in Portuguese architecture. Eduardo Souto Moura can be included within the long line of Organized Resistant Architecture which was developed in Oporto. His designs are minimalist, structurally worked, singular in their effectiveness, authentic while unique ‘pure because God is present in the details’.
